Cookie Policy (EU)

Last updated: 21 October 2026.

This page explains which cookies and similar tools are used by www.associazionelucapersiani.it, run by Associazione Luca Persiani APS, Via della Maglianella, 175, Rome, Italy, tax code 96609710585, email associazionelucapersiani@gmail.com. How we process personal data in general is explained in the Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the visitor's browser to remember information during the visit or on later visits. They can be set by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies) or by other services included in the page (third-party cookies). Similar tools, such as browser storage (sessionStorage and localStorage), work in the same way and follow the same rules.

How you choose

On your first visit a banner asks you what to accept. You can:

  • Reject: only technical cookies stay active. Closing the banner with the X counts as rejecting.
  • Accept all: you enable Google Maps on the event pages.
  • Customise: you see the categories and choose what to enable.

Rejecting does not stop you from reading the website. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookies" button at the bottom left or from here: change your cookie preferences. If you withdraw consent, the page reloads and maps are no longer loaded; any cookies Google has already set stay in your browser until you delete them in its settings.

Technical cookies (always active)

They make the website work and do not require consent.

Name Purpose Duration
alp_consent Remembers your cookie choices, so we do not ask on every page. 6 months
wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, wordpress_test_cookie Login to the administration area. Only for people who manage the website, not for visitors. End of session or up to 14 days
wp-settings-*, wp-settings-time-* Administration area preferences. Only for people who manage the website. 1 year

We also use two technical tools that are not cookies:

  • alp_pre (sessionStorage): remembers that you have already seen the loading screen, so it appears only once per visit. It is deleted automatically when you close the browser tab.
  • cv_noconta (localStorage): excludes visits by the people who manage the website from the statistics. It is stored only in administrators' browsers.

External content (only with your consent)

On the event pages the map of the venue is provided by Google Maps. It loads only if you have accepted "External content" in the banner or if you press the "Show the map" button; until then Google receives nothing. Once loaded, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, for example NID (about 6 months), to remember preferences and prevent misuse. The service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, with possible transfer to Google LLC (United States), which participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Details: Google cookies and Google privacy policy.

What we do not use

  • No profiling, advertising or statistics cookies.
  • Statistics: we count visits with a tool installed on our own server that uses no cookies, does not store the IP address and does not recognise visitors from one day to the next. The data stays on our server.
  • Videos and fonts: they are hosted on our own website, so no services such as YouTube or Google Fonts are involved.

Links to other websites

The "Dona ora" (Donate now) button leads to SumUp's payment page and the "Open in Google Maps" link opens Google's website. These are external websites with their own privacy and cookie rules, which apply from the moment you open them: SumUp privacy policy, Google privacy policy.

Managing cookies in your browser

Besides the banner, you can view and delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). If you delete the alp_consent cookie, the banner will ask for your choices again on your next visit.

Your rights
